I did a little work with PE boot disk this weekend. I hacked up Troy Larson's white paper to include the following:
1. To auto run ProDiscover Remote Agent.
2. To make the ProDiscover TCP/IP performance entries.
3. Added the information needed to make the bootable TD.
4. Added a little more troubleshooting information.
I've attached a Zip file to this post that includest:
1. All the files needed for the remote agent and zero view with ProDiscover IR/IN 5.5.
2. The hacked up directions.
You can use the tools.zip and directions paper to create a nice remote agent boot disk when the linux boot disk isn't working or if you have other tools you would like to use.
I've stepped through all this and it works great. The PE Boot disk was able to bind to the network from two of the systems I tested.
